The Physics Receipt
Proof Grounded in Physics,
Not Software
When IBA blocks an agent action, WitnessBound generates a Physics Receipt — a cryptographically signed audit artifact containing the physically unique dB extinction measurement from the MZI gate. No two violations produce identical dissipation signatures. The proof cannot be fabricated in software.
The dB extinction measurement is a physical measurement unique to each gate event — the energy dissipated by destructive interference in the Mach-Zehnder Interferometer array. It cannot be replicated by software means. Every Physics Receipt is therefore physically unique, providing audit trail integrity grounded in physics rather than software.
Witnessed
Every enforcement decision — allow or block — is recorded at the moment it occurs. Not reconstructed from logs. Not inferred from outcomes. Witnessed at the instant of enforcement, before the action could propagate.
Hashed
Each receipt contains a SHA-256 validation hash binding the agent identity, action, timestamp, and physical parameters into a single cryptographic fingerprint. Any tampering breaks the hash. The math does not forgive.
Chained
Each receipt’s chain hash is computed from the previous receipt’s hash plus the current validation. A single altered receipt breaks every chain hash that follows it. The chain is either intact or it is not. There is no middle ground.
